Walking With Beatrix Potter
This week we have been walking in the footsteps of Beatrix Potter by completing two short, Lake District walks which both start in Sawrey, close to Hawkshead. This is an area of the Lake District that Beatrix knew well, with lots of her memories including the famous Hill Top Farm.
These two walks were inspired by an old book called ‘Walking with Beatrix Potter’ by Norman and June Buckley we have re-walked the routes and revised the text to include the changes that have occurred since the book was first published.
At Joiner’s Mews’ we have a folder of walks that Peter has compiled, some local and others further afield in the Lake District. From the comments that our loverly guests leave these walks are well received as many of our guests have walked them.
Why not come to the beautiful Lake District, stay at Joiner’s Mews and sample some of these walks.
