Try a Little Retail Therapy
It’s a wet, soggy day – countrywide, not just here in the beautiful Lake District – and Brexit is still brexiting, so what to do? How about some retail therapy?
‘No’ shouts the husband but did you know that Lakeland’s flagship store is situated in Windermere – now you know why it’s called ‘Lakeland’- and is just a 20 minute drive from Joiner’s Mews. The store is full of goodies that will make your life easier or tastier. There is even a coffee bar on the first floor. There is free parking, free WIFI and a customer lift.
Although the husband shouted ‘no’ it was his idea to visit the store the other day when we bought a slow cooker, some miniature jam jars (for the delicious strawberry or damson jam – when the fruit is in season – that he makes and we like to leave as part of a welcome basket in the cottage) and a stack of food containers.
Well worth a visit.
