The New Normal
Like many of you we are gradually returning to the new normal of everyday life. We visited the Strickland Arms before lockdown but we have decided it is our new favourite place to eat and drink. The pub is situated in South Lakeland near the entrance to the National Trust’s Sizergh Castle and it is just a five minute drive from Joiner’s Mews.
As you can see it is not the prettiest pub and the interior has a ‘lived-in’ feel but the staff are so very friendly, the food is great and the prices reasonable. The menu is currently restricted because of ‘you know what’ but it is very acceptable – see part of the current menu and there are usually daily specials. We do recommend it.
