The Lull between Storms Ciara (or Ceira) and Dennis

Thursday 13 February has proved to be a real lull between the storms in South Lakeland. We took the opportunity to visit the National Trust’s property, Sizergh Castle, with Teddy who is now 16 weeks old. We walked through the grounds in dappled sunshine, the snowdrops were in full bloom, the birds were singing and there was a definite feel of spring in the air. What a shame that Dennis is on the way.

Whatever the weather, Joiner’s Mews is just the place to be – there is a cosy wood burning stove for the winter and a lovely summer house for the summer.
