Sir Cliff Richard to perform at Cartmel Races – just 20 minutes’ drive from Joiner’s Mews


Sir Cliff Richard will be performing at an open-air concert live at Cartmel Races on Friday 28th June 2019.

Following the popularity of previous live music concerts including Boyzone, Sir Tom Jones and Simply Red, Cartmel Racecourse is excited to welcome the UK’s most successful hitmaker, Sir Cliff Richard to the June race meeting.

In those 60 years, Sir Cliff Richard has recorded almost 1,300 song titles, composed 100 songs, achieved 14 number one singles and seven number one albums. Able to change with the times and tastes he remains hugely popular with fans,

Ahead of Sir Cliff’s first ever live performance in the South Lakes area, Peter Taylor, director of promoters Cuffe and Taylor, said: “Cliff Richard is without a doubt a legend of the music industry.  We have worked with Cliff on numerous shows and tours and are delighted to be bringing him to Cartmel Racecourse for the first time.  I have no doubt that the crowds at Cartmel will have a brilliant time hearing him perform the hits that made him a household name”.

Limited numbers of Early Bird Tickets (plus a restricted number of seated tickets) for the event will be released online at 10am on Sunday 18th November. Adult Early Bird tickets are priced at £45 (a saving of £15 on the on-the-day ticket price). All admission tickets for this date are inclusive of both the racing and the evening concert. Tickets will also be available online for teens which are priced at £25 (advanced price) and for under 13’s who go free. Please note that tickets must be obtained for all attending, including the complimentary under 13’s.
