Heversham Remembers a Hundred Years 0n

The First World War ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th Month

Saturday, 10 November

From 2pm to 4pm – tea and cakes at St Peter’s church, with time to look at the display of stories and memorabilia.

At 7.30pm – barn dance at Parkhouse Farm, tickets £10 to include a hotpot supper. Proceeds in aid of The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.

Sunday, 11 November

10.30am – Remembrance Service at St Peter’s

7.00pm – a beacon will be lit on Heversham Head

Seventeen silhouettes, from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust commemorating that number from Heversham and Leasgill who died in the war, will be displayed in the Church until the 11 November and thereafter, together with a display of poppies (by the WI) at various locations in the villages.
