We’ve just returned from an amazing stay at Joiners Mews. We found the cottage to be perfect for couples and dogs, Peter and Marie have thought of everything and the cottage is the most well equipped one we have stayed in. The personal welcome on arrival and the welcome pack were very much appreciated. There was so much information on the local area and we loved exploring the village of Heversham with such amazing views. The pub recommendations for dogs were also very much appreciated and meant we didn’t have to drive for ages to find one! We will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family and will be returning again.
One of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in, you have thought of everything for your guests comfort and enjoyment (and dogs!) Thank you for the welcome pack and the show round on arrival - superb all round! We will recommend to friends
A perfect welcome in person from our hosts who showed us around. This personal touch was much appreciated . The cottage is very well appointed with comfortable beds, sofa and armchair, lovely after a strenuous walk. Equally welcome was the super shower with ample hot water always available.
The kitchen is well equipped and it was good to see a knife steel in the drawer so no managing with blunt knives!
Information on the local area , walks and places to visit was very useful and there are maps if needed.
Canine visitors are well catered for too with bowls, biscuits and bed all ready and waiting.
We look forward to staying again.
Finally made it to the lovely Joiners Mews after originally booked for April. The warm was welcome and cottage had everything and more that you would have wanted. We enjoyed fabulous walking, would recommend Arnside Knott and Scout Scar. Grange-over-Sands is a amazing Victorian seaside town with lots of old world charm and zero amusement arcades 👍
Our Lurcher Elsa thought the yummy treats superb and especially enjoyed nights by the log burner.
We hope to return in the near future as it was great to explore an area of Cumbria that we’ve missed despite visiting the Lakes for nearly 10 yrs
Peter and Marie are great hosts and the cottage is testament to their hard work and hospitality.
Joiners Mews is an outstanding well equipped, dog friendly, spacious cottage sleeping three humans with a fabulous wood burning stove perfect for your furry friend to relax in front of after a day's walking. We were very impressed as it contained many extra's not usually found in self-catering accommodation - truly a home from home. It's ideally located for exploring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, we really enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending it.....book it you will not be disappointed!
Just returned from a week staying in Joiner's Mews and we could not fault anything.
The cottage is in a quiet location, ideally placed for visiting the Cumbrian coast and the rest of the Lake District.
The rooms are spacious and the decor immaculate. Peter made us feel welcome on our arrival, explained everything to us and the welcome box was a really nice gesture.
All in all we had a brilliant stay and look forward to going again
This was our first visit to this charming cottage and it won't be our last!
The cottage is stunning, its location is ideal for travelling around the Lake District.
The owners were excellent, communicating with us prior to arriving and then meeting us at the property to show us how everything worked.
We were provided with a welcome box of milk, cookies, bread and lots of other little luxuries. Such a nice gesture. We always take everything we need with us, such as salt, pepper, teabags etc however the cottage had all of this included as well as herbs, spices and an assortment of kitchen cleaning products and cloths. There isn't anything missing in the kitchen, or not that i could find anyway! Its definitely a home from home and the appliances are all good quality and easy to use.
The cottage is spacious and decorated to a high standard. The sofa and beds are comfortable and the shower is powerful. The cottage is enclosed so our dog was free to roam around the property. The 'Dog house' was wonderful for sitting in during the hot weather and enjoying a drink and outdoor dining. I loved sitting out on the bench at the front of the cottage and watching the world go by.
I could not find anything at all about this cottage that dampened our stay or anything we needed to complain about.
Thank you for a great stay, we will hopefully see you again soon.
