A Spring Walk for Birdlovers

Now that the sun’s starting to peep out and spring flowers are poking through the earth, it’s a good time to plan some walks.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust runs a programme of guided walks and other events throughout the year at its reserves, including Brown Robin Nature Reserve at Grange-over-Sands – less than half an hour from Joiner’s Mews.

On February 24, you can join honorary reserve manager Tony Saunders for an early spring walk and hopefully see the first birds returning to the reserve, including possible sightings of hawfinch.

Dogs, if on a lead, are welcome on this two-mile walk on good paths.
